SPAN CAPABILITY CHART

easi-joist® Span Tables – Guidance Only

The span tables below provide an approximate sizing guide for easi-joist® metal web joists. These values are intended for initial feasibility assessments only and should not be used as a substitute for full structural design.

Due to variations in timber grade, load conditions, bearing widths, and support configurations, accurate sizing must always be confirmed through our design team.

Contact Merronbrook Ltd for tailored advice and detailed design calculations. We cover projects across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Berkshire, and the wider South East.

Important Notes

  • Maximum spans assume a minimum 100mm wide support bearing.
  • A securely fixed floor deck is required to provide lateral restraint and prevent buckling.
  • Web orientation and support placement can influence joist capacity.
  • Strongbacks are recommended for all joists spanning over 4m.
